When the grape has ripened it is known to have a very strong scent of thyme, capable of being sensed metres away. The Temjanika grape variety is used to create semi-dry and dessert Muscat wines of high-quality. Usually, the wine displays a strong yellow-gold colour with slight green colouring. The grape is best grown in warmer climates. It produces an average yield of thick-skinned, medium-sized grapes. It is recommended to enjoy a glass of Temjanika wine with light food such as seafood or desserts.
